3rd Transnational Project Meeting of UAVET was held in Środa Wielkopolska

On 29–30 September 2025, the international partners of the UAVET project gathered at the Zespół Szkół Rolniczych (ZSR) for the project’s third transnational meeting. The meeting was dedicated to the planning and coordination of the pilot courses, multiplier events and remaining tasks in WP4, which focuses on the development of a comprehensive Digital Handbook for drone repair and maintenance technicians.
A primary objective of the meeting was to determine the structure and content of the upcoming handbook, which is designed to serve as a foundational textbook for vocational education and training (VET) providers. Representatives from Balıkesir University, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, DRONINT, Scoala Militara “Traian Vuia”, and MELLIS Ed-Tech collaborated to identify critical real-world case studies. These studies will cover high-priority technical issues, including drone crashes, sensor deficiencies, battery malfunctions, and software repair.
The partners also utilised the sessions in Poland to review the results of previous activities, such as the Video Tutorial Library, and to coordinate the localisation and translation of materials into Polish, Turkish, Romanian, Greek, and English. By aligning their diverse expertise in electronics, mechatronics, and aviation engineering, the consortium aims to fill a significant gap in the European educational market, which currently lacks standardised training for drone maintenance personnel.
The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for the quality evaluation phase, where external industry experts will review the handbook’s technical accuracy before it is tested by 140 students across five international piloting sites.
This collaborative effort in Środa Wielkopolska ensures that the UAVET project remains on track to modernise vocational education and enhance the employability of young technicians in the rapidly expanding drone service sector.
We extend our gratitude to the Zespół Szkół Rolniczych (ZSR) project team and administration for their kind hospitality during the meeting.
