On 4 December 2025, the UAVET project celebrated a major milestone as Dronint successfully conducted its national multiplier event at the Technical and Professional School of Vocational Education and Training – Ammohostou – Avgorou. The conference brought together 82 participants, including 46 sector representatives, 30 VET graduates, and 6 professional VET providers, to unveil a transformative framework for drone maintenance education.

As part of the Erasmus+ initiative “Developing Vocational Skills of Electro-Mechanical Technicians for UAV Maintenance and Repair,” the event aimed to raise awareness of the professional opportunities within the uncrewed aviation sector. The conference served as a vital platform for educators and industry representatives to exchange knowledge on closing the skills gap and producing a more proficient technical workforce.

Attendees were given exclusive access to the project’s core digital outputs, which are now available as open educational resources (OER). These results include:

• Occupational Standards E-Book (OSE): A guide defining the qualifications and skills required for modern drone technicians.

• UAVET Training Programme: A modular curriculum designed for blended learning.

• Video Tutorial Library: A collection of practice-oriented videos demonstrating technical tasks such as component repair and troubleshooting.

• Digital Handbook: A comprehensive textbook featuring case studies on drone crashes and mechanical deficiencies.

The quality of the conference, the training programme, the digital handbook, and the video tutorials all received the highest possible scores from the attendees. Participants were particularly engaged during interactive sessions, reviewing the video tutorials online and providing feedback to help refine the project’s outcomes.

The conference highlighted how cross-border collaboration—involving partners from Türkiye, Romania, Poland, and Cyprus—has successfully pioneered the standardisation of a new vocation. By providing free access to high-quality technical training, the UAVET project is removing financial barriers for disadvantaged groups and ensuring that the next generation of technicians is prepared for the rapidly evolving demands of the global UAV market.
