On 10 December 2025, the \u201cTraian Vuia\u201d Air Force Military School of Warrant Officers and NCOs hosted the UAVET National Conference within the Erasmus+ KA220 VET \u2013 Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training programme. The event was opened by the Deputy Commander of the school, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bocan, who highlighted the importance of adapting vocational training to the continuous development of aeronautical technologies.<\/p>\n

The conference brought together representatives of the Air and Land Forces, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, the Military Aeronautical Authority, and the Buz\u0103u County School Inspectorate. During the meeting, participants presented the outcomes of all Erasmus projects carried out in our school as well as in other civilian education institutions in Buz\u0103u County, emphasizing their impact on vocational education and training.<\/p>\n

The conference started with the pedagogical session \u201cDrones \u2013 the Technology of the Future\u201d, delivered by teachers Cosmin Nedelcu, Lucia R\u0103ileanu, and Gheorghe Olaru. Their presentations highlighted the growing importance of unmanned aerial vehicles in modern missions, ranging from reconnaissance to precision operations.<\/p>\n

Professor Dr. Eng. Sorin Eugen Zaharia, from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, presented the need to develop technical skills for UAV maintenance and repair. His intervention underlined the importance of solid technical training to ensure the safe operation of unmanned flight systems.<\/p>\n

Next, teacher Ion Grigore delivered a lesson segment with students who had taken part in an Erasmus+ exchange programme in Seville. The students demonstrated the knowledge gained during their placement at a civilian education institution in Spain, which may serve as a foundation for a future professional qualification.<\/p>\n

The conference also included the presentation \u201cTransforming Technical Education with Erasmus+\u201d, which complemented the previous practical activity. This was followed by contributions from teachers from \u201cGrigore C. Moisil\u201d Technological College and \u201cDr. C. Angelescu\u201d Agricultural High School in Buz\u0103u. Inspector Daniela Codreanu expressed her appreciation for the quality of all presentations and the efforts of the teaching staff involved in organizing the event.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the Deputy Commander of the school praised the contribution of all participants and stressed that introducing the qualification of Drone Repair and Maintenance Technician into the official list of occupations represents a necessary step in preparing the new generation of specialists.<\/p>\n
