We were proud to successfully host the Edremit Conference of the UAVET Project \u2013 \u201cEnhancing the Professional Skills of Electro-Mechanical Technicians for UAV Maintenance and Repair\u201d\u00a0on\u00a011 December 2025\u00a0at the Afrodit Thermal Hotel.<\/p>\n

Led by the\u00a0Bal\u0131kesir University\u00a0Edremit School of Civil Aviation\u00a0and supported under the\u00a0Erasmus+\u00a0KA220 Vocational Education Cooperation Programme\u00a0through the National Agency of T\u00fcrkiye, the project has made a meaningful contribution to strengthening vocational competencies in the rapidly evolving UAV ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The conference featured inspiring opening remarks by\u00a0Prof. Dr Abdullah Soykan, followed by in-depth presentations from Caner Anda (Mellis Ed-Tech) on the project objectives and activities, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Seyhun Durmu\u015f\u00a0on project outcomes, UAV maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting technologies.
\nDr G\u00fcla\u00e7t\u0131 \u015een\u00a0also shared valuable insights into UAV legislation and pilot qualification requirements, highlighting the regulatory framework shaping the sector.<\/p>\n

We were especially pleased to welcome students from Edremit Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School\u2014future drone technicians whose enthusiasm reflects the growing potential of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s UAV workforce. Special thanks were extended to School Principal\u00a0Ertan \u00c7\u0131nar and the dedicated teachers who supported this event.<\/p>\n

Strengthening collaboration between universities and vocational institutions remains key to building a highly skilled, future-ready aviation workforce. The UAVET Project\u00a0stands as a strong step toward a more innovative and competent UAV sector in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n
