Workshop in Sroda Wielkopolska

On 14 May 2024, the Zespół Szkół Rolniczych (ZSR) successfully conducted a specialised technical workshop at the Poldrone facility, marking a significant milestone for the international UAVET project. The event brought together a select group of five technicians, a VET teacher, and an academic from a military institution to establish the groundwork for a new European professional standard in drone repair.
Defining the Future of Drone Technicians As part of the Erasmus+ funded initiative, “Developing Vocational Skills of Electro-Mechanical Technicians for UAV Maintenance and Repair,” the Polish workshop focused specifically on Module 5: Documentation and Communication. Participants engaged in occupational analysis using the DAKUM method, identifying the precise knowledge and skills required for technicians to manage maintenance logs and customer relations effectively.
A highlight of the day was a practical presentation by Poldrone, a leading company specialising in drone technology for both civilian and military use. Technicians showcased their newest military drone prototype, performing two flight demonstrations accompanied by detailed technical commentary. This hands-on experience provided participants with a real-world look at the cutting-edge hardware they are helping to standardise.
